Single 12 Month Membership

All Health Club users must sign this and a parent or guardian must sign for those who are under 16. No members / guests under 16 are permitted to use the gym facilities. If the user is under 16 he or she is not permitted to use the swimming pool unless accompanied by a responsible adult.

The activities offered by our leisure centre, are all activities that requires an adequate level of

physical fitness and good health. Anyone with a history of: Diabetes, Epilepsy, Permanent injury to the eardrum(s) , High blood pressure, Heart Disease, Asthma, Drug/ Alcohol dependence, Proneness to frequent blackouts or fainting, Being under any medication which may affect person’s performance, must seek the advice of their GP before participating in any leisure centre activities. In the interests of safety, gym users who frequently suffer the effects of these conditions are strongly advised to be accompanied by a competent adult who has prior knowledge of the condition and the ability to carry out an effective rescue.

By my signature hereof, and without waiving any statutory rights:

• I consider myself to have the adequate physical fitness to participate in the activities mentioned above and do not have a history of any of the above mentioned medical conditions.

• I understand that there is risk of injury associated with participating in any swimming, exercise programme or physical activity and I certify that I am in good physical condition and have no known disabilities that might otherwise be detrimental to my health or well-being.

• I understand that Swimming Pools can be extremely dangerous for unsupervised children and teenagers, as well as adults swimming alone. I understand that gym facilities / equipment can be extremely dangerous.

• Should I believe anything is unsafe, I will immediately advise the management, official and/or others in position of authority of such condition and refuse to participate. All participants understand and agreed that, if at any time, they

feel anything to be unsafe, they will immediately take all precautions to avoid the unsafe area and refuse to participate further.

• I fully understand and acknowledge that there are risks and dangers associated with use of the facilities which could result in bodily injury, partial and/or total disability, paralysis and death, including.

o The risk of injury resulting from possible malfunction of the pool or gym equipment.

o The risk of injuries resulting from tripping or falling over obstacles in the pool/ gym area.

o The risk of injuries from moving around in an area where wet floors/ areas are a normal occurrence.

o The risk of injuries resulting from unsupervised divers and swimmers colliding.

o The risk of other injuries resulting from participating in any action in the pool and the gym.

• I fully understand and acknowledge that a lifeguard may not always be on duty during my participation and that the gym may not always be supervised during my participation.

• I fully understand and acknowledge that the social and economic losses and/or damages, which could result from these risks and dangers described above, could be severe.

• I fully understand and acknowledge that there may be other risks not known to us or are not reasonably foreseeable at this time.

• I do hereby assume full responsibility for any and all damages, injuries or losses that I may sustain or incur, if any, while participating in any swimming, exercise or other physical activity or whilst on the premises where these activities take place.

• I hereby waive all claims against The Great Southern Killarney, its officials andemployees for any and all claims for injuries or damages that I might sustain unless caused explicitly by the negligence of The Great Southern Killarney. The company assumes no liability for injuries or damages arising from the results of participation.

We require that the following RULES are strictly adhered to:

All patrons within the pool area must be wearing the appropriate swim wear. Swim hats must be worn at all

times. (Available at reception for €3). No jewellery should be worn in the pool.  Glass containers, alcohol or drugs are NOT permitted. No food / drink / chewing gum whilst using the pool. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Children under 10 entering the pool must be accompanied and cared for (at poolside) by a responsible adult in swim suit. Children under 6 need to have a responsible person in the water with them and within arm’s reach. No running, pushing or diving. Guests who appear to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs will be asked to leave. No person within the pool grounds or gym shall behave in such a manner as to jeopardise the safety and health of himself/herself and others. Such behaviour, including abusive or profane language, shall be grounds for expulsion. Do not enter the swimming pool after a heavy meal.  If you or your child had diarrhoea in the last 14 days, please do not use the Swimming Pool. If you or your child has vomited in the last 24 hours, has a recent history of gastroenteritis infections, please do not use the swimming pool.

Please note that:

- All facilities will close 10 minutes prior to closing time to facilitate health and safty requirements.

- Lockers may not be left locked over night or they will be open and contents removed. Innisfallen Health Club & Beauty Rooms is not responsible for any personal items left in lockers.

- One towel is to be given to each member. If you wish to get second towelthe charge of €1 is require. 

- Members can use The Great Southern parking facilities only while using Leisure Centre. The hotel has the right to close parking facilities as required.
